Reloading helps because images you upload to Capacities get a signed URL for privacy reasons which expires after a while. If you reload, new signed URLs are generated again. Calendar integration might be added in milestone 7 (which's main focus is inbox and task management though). There exists a ticket for this on our feedback board: https://capacities.io/feedback/p/google-calendar-integration Feel free to vote on it to increase its priority.
We're currently testing the Desktop app internally and it will be released soon. Mobile is still quite a bit in the future and will not be launched any time soon. Until then you can use our messenger integrations for quick mobile input.
In milestone four we will be launching believer/pro plans to support the project.

For date/time stuff in tasks/birthdays/holidays. Tracking habits. In my journaling for daily stats and metrics (sleep, activity, nutrition). Keeping track of my life areas -> dreams -> goals -> projects to connect them via relations and calculate for example how many goals belong to different life areas. Tracking sheet music using dates and determining how long I've been working on a certain piece. Tracking workouts and figuring out the goal weight for a specific exercise that day based on my 1 rep max and my rpe and number of reps. For periodic reviews using rollups and relations to do a lot of counting, percentages, concatenating of various fields.

The page layouts are a layout setting that can be set for any custom content type. So all you have to do is go to the settings of an existing content type, and scroll all the way down. There you can set the page layout you want to use for that type. Hope that helps!

How do you reference another date in a daily note ?
Lets say that i have booked a table on a restaurant next month. So i might write:
" - Have booked a table at [[this lovely restaurant]] on the "insert future date" with # this lovely person" - I can only see date for today, tomorrow, yesterday and day after tomorrow.
Also, do it have any effect on the calendar that i do this ? will it show on the day one month ahead ?

Could you maybe try gmail in Chrome or another browser to make sure it's not Brave? It's hard to maintain all spell checking systems across many browsers, for now we'd recommend to use Grammarly Desktop which should also work in the browser

– think title: 'xyzxyz' // search: xyzxy / xyzxyz etc = success! – BUT title: 'xyzxyz (abc)' // search: xyzxy = success! – and search 'xyzxyz' = failure!
– meaning search xyzxyz wouldn´t find 'xyzxyz (abc)' or 'abc xyzxyz' as titles...
(I also put this up on the Canny-board as it feels 'buggish' )

1♀️ OMG, I need YT tutorials so badly. I joined Capacities last night - I created a new "Quote" object in my account - but today it's gone. The Object no longer exists. And - PDFs are not supported? I uploaded a PDF last night but unable to upload a new one today - I get an error that the format is unsupported. 1 
I’m new to capacities but I subscribed as a Believer yesterday. Has anyone been able to successfully tag a person to an image using the Whatsapp integration? it seems now like that's one of these (many) 'silent' improvements that @Steffen & @Michael_v_H happen to 'weave' / 'sneak' in
it happens a lot to me that I mention stuff, just to update ... and find the improvement there w/o having seen a trace / mention in the release notes or the resp. places where I left a note.
I think it the wizards duos style of being constructive & laborious: just do good things, and do not talk over those.
maybe they – like me – have a history with the boy-/girls outs 1 1

The second thing is the table of the content of the source. My first idea for that was a simple table with page numbers inside. So I can search through this before going to my bookshelf and grabbing for the special book. Do you have a good idea how to do this at the moment? Otherwise I can do this later when there is the table integration I guess.

https://docs.capacities.io/reference/page-layouts#standard makes it sound like I should be able to adjust the width both for entire pages and for individual blocks, but I can't figure out how to do it. Following some earlier posts on on here, I did find a setting in the "edit format" menu for grouped blocks, but nowhere else. Am I missing something? 1 1 1

basically Capacities has 3 legs of collective meta-intelligence and reflective communication now:
1) here – basically all the chitter - chatter, small things, distractions, self-hel, conceptual and philosophical discussions, takes on the PKM field, strategic foresight discussions, tactics + strategies of use, psychological inclinations and affections related to Capacities or personal knowledge management ... all that and more
2) Canny – 'hard core' feature requesting, and trying to marshal support and/or troops for your personal wishes, some forms of rhetorical coercion to convonce Michael & Steffen to prioritize your very personal desires... but also some deliberations on features, relevancies, technical resources related to specific requests etc. oh, and you can vote here! one person one vote (= multiple accounts gives you multiple votes )
3) a reddit-channel instituted by some of the many convinced & goodhearted Capacities 'Believers'. this will be more of satellite discussions (I suppose), comparisons with the field / other apps, exchanges with the general webpublic etc. – https://www.reddit.com/r/capacitiesapp/ (already has a whooping 350+ members, too!)
... oh, and there is 4) direct communication with Steffen & Michael, who are extraordinarily available given they iterate and develop like hell . so, we all hope, they get some support soon, to deal with all the social noise and resonance in the Capacities-community-universe...

I'm new to Capacities and very impressed.
So i try to figure out possible Workflows. I comming from tools like Logseq and Obsidian.
My acutal workflow was inspired by the Zettelkasten method comined with MOCs (mostly software development stuff to sort the atomic zettels according to their topic).
Now i'm struggling a litte bit in Capacities with the diffrent purposes of objects, collections and tags.
E.g. when i'm currently Learning Python, is it usefull to create an Object "Programming Language" and Collection "Python" and then store the notes under it?
Could no find a good entry point for technical | engineering related organisation without overfill the objects (Principles of Software Testing, Principles of Softwareenginnering, Techniques of Softwaretesting, Drivers of Softwareengineering, Refactoring Pattern, OOP Design Patterns, ...)
Perhaps someone has a good entry point for my problem.

But the User Interface (buttons, options, labels, etc.) of the app is only available in English and German.
Control + F to search for text on an object. There's Control + P which brings up the search & open dialog but I really just want it to highlight text in the object I'm looking at not restrict me to excerpts from the object where that text appears. by the way, when i marked my list with approx. 50 entries to convert them into a to-do, it was only implemented for a part, not for all at the same time and I had to repeat it several times. it would be nice if this would continue to work in the future or has nobody else observed this?

but if you are interested in any of those two aspects (going beyond working with block / metadata structure logic for all of this), just search for "collating" and / or "stackbar" / "right sidebar" here, and you will find a lot of hinds / thoughts on that (generally the forums are a trove of ideas, and search (here) is definitely your friend, too!) 2 1 hope there will be an option like checkbox for lists somewhere in the future...

here is my 2nd case: I have an object where I link an item 2 times, once as property, once it appears as card embed.
result: it appears two times in backlinks.
which, IMO, is confusing. I know it can be argued, it belongs there bec it factually links every instance. but to me it stays confusing. a sentiment that is

my first proposal is checking the existing discussions, by utilizing 'search' here. I think you will find a lot.
my next proposal for you – and everyone else interested – is to build a focussed discussion node; and collect ideas, needs, hacks, infos, wishes.
I think focussing on 'writing' as a complex of functions is the best way to start building the case, for the community, for Steffen & Michael as to development perspectives; and also to collectively asses whether (and which way) this might make sense (for what kind of use scenarios etc...).
