With specs like a 50-megapixel camera, 90Hz display, and a huge battery, will the OnePlus Nord 2 be the new value king of 2021?
Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks) and 91mobiles have published a huge collection of renders depicting the OnePlus Nord 2, the successor to the value-packed Android phone we loved last year. So far, it’s looking like a more affordable OnePlus 9, with a very similar design.
50MP
The alleged resolution of the main camera.
The Nord 2’s also expected to have a secondary 8-megapixel camera and a third 2-megapixel camera. Likely ultra-wide and some kind of macro lens.
According to 91mobiles, the OnePlus Nord 2 will have a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to have an in-display fingerprint reader and a 32-megapixel hole punch selfie camera.
• Android 11
• MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC
• Up to 12GB of RAM
• 256GB of storage
• 5G support
• Gaming triggers sold separately
The report also claims 30W or 65W charging, but it’s unclear if it will use OnePlus’ fast Warp Charging standard. Warp Charge 30T is capable of charging a OnePlus 7T from 0 to 70 percent in 30 minutes.
While there is yet to be an official announcement from OnePlus, the OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be announced on July 9. It’s no Cyberpunk collab, but we’re still excited for it, especially if the price is right.
