For the first time in our three-person team’s 10-year history, we are attending Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Jose. Every year, Apple hosts an event to celebrate excellence among new and existing apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
We are incredibly honored and humbled to announce that Bear has won a 2017 Apple Design Award, and we have you to thank. Yes, seriously-you.
We launched Bear in 2016, after two years of tinkering, building, tearing it all down, and building again. Then we released our first beta on Product Hunt to see what you thought.
The response was nothing short of incredible; we clearly touched on a new way to write notes and prose that resonated with people.
You gave us a fantastic amount of support and feedback, and Bear even won a Best of 2016 award from the App Store team in December.
Now, with over one and a half million downloads and a 2017 Apple Design Award, we want to say thank you. Thanks to Apple for this award and for these incredible devices and platforms. But most of all, thank you, our Bear users and supporters.
We thank you now for all your support over the past year, and we’ll thank you more soon by making Bear even better. If you want to see some of what we’re working on, we previewed part of Bear’s roadmap at the end of our Bear Pro blog post.
We’ll have more to share soon here on the blog. For now, we’re learning all we can this week in Apple’s WWDC sessions and, of course, meeting everyone we can. If you’re in town, we’d love to say hi! Catch the team on Twitter : Matteo @matteorattotti, Danilo /u/trix180, Konstantin @nerolapis.
