inRoute 5.4: 3D Touch, Routing and Weather Enhancements

inRoute 5.4 has been released, including new 3D Touch actions for quickly navigating along/to your favorite routes and places, the ability to plan future trips along currently closed roads, severe weather alerts in Canada, and more.

3D Touch

3D Touch on the app icon now includes:
– Your top two Bookmarks, used to quickly start navigation. These could be your saved “work” and “home” locations or any other Bookmarks, including multi-stop routes.
– Bookmarks, to bring you directly to all your saved routes and places.
– Reverse route, used to reverse your last route and start navigation. Ideal for returning back along your previous route.

Routing Enhancements

You can now plan future trips along roads that are currently closed, for example due to winter weather. Simply drop a waypoint on the closed road and a route along that road will be used.

Canadian Severe Weather Alerts

Severe weather alerts are now available for routes in Canada, in addition to the US and UK.
